CORGIS IN WGTN SANTA PARADE

Michael from Trentham

Wellington's Santa Arrival Parade will occur on Saturday December 16 starting at 11.30am.

The parade will go from the Herd Street car parking area near Clyde Quay Wharf and move on the outer of Waitangi Park.

Wellington Welsh Corgi Club has been exclusively invited to take part.

The club is looking to muster a good number of Pembroke and Cardigan Corgis for this fun event. Non- club members are encouraged to join in. The crowd just loves seeing Corgis as Santa's little furry helpers.

Best dressed Corgi and best dressed handler and Corgi will be rewarded with prizes. All participating Corgis receive BlackHawk treats.

For further info ring 021 614 821.

Poll: Should we be giving the green light to new mining projects? 💰🌲

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Environmental Protection Authority announced this week that a proposed mine in Central Otago (near Cromwell) is about to enter its fast-track assessment process. A final decision could come within six months, and if it’s approved, construction might start as early as mid-2026.

We want to know: Should mining projects like this move ahead?

Keen to dig deeper? Mike White has the scoop.
