Petone Beach Rubbish
Hey everyone, after the terrible weather we have had lately Petone beach is covered in a huge amount of rubbish! Huge amounts of zip lock bags, and plastics, cans etc. I filled 3 plastic bags of rubbish, which didn't even put a dent in the amount of rubbish down there. I'd encourage anyone who walks the beach or takes there dog there to bring a bag and help collect the rubbish, and recycle what you can!
It's really bad now, in 20 years it will be way worse unless we be proactive about all the plastics. Think of future generations!

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
