Future water supplies
Much has been said about water leaks and water meters but little about future water supplies. The only reference that I have noted was in 'The Post' on Sat 3rd Feb. The article refers to the suggestion that a dam be built on the Whakatiki Stream. This is a no no in my book for the reasons in my attached notes on the subject. GWRC has bought land at Kaitoke for off storage lakes and has done nothing about building them. Be interested to see what others think.
Please read my attached comments. I also ask the question. Has GWRC sold the building in Wakefield St that was considered an earthquake risk?
Poll: Have you ever been bullied?
People associate bullying with children in schools, but it can actually stretch beyond childhood to workplaces or neighbourhoods.
This Friday is Pink Shirt Day, which began in Canada in 2007 when two students took a stand against homophobic bullying after a new student was harassed for wearing pink. People across the globe are now encouraged to wear pink on this day to take a stand against bullying and promote inclusivity.
Have you or your whānau ever experienced bullying? Share your thoughts on Pink Shirt Day below.
