Upper Hutt Community Patrol - Safer Plates Event
Do you want anti-theft screws on your Vehicles number plates?
Upper Hutt Community Patrol and Wellington District Police will be installing tamper-resistant 'Safer Plates' screws on Friday 8th April from 10:45am till 2pm @ Countdown Queen Street, Upper Hutt
Over the past few months, a number of plates have been stolen throughout the Hutt Valley, and this number is on the increase. Stolen plates are being used to switch plates to facilitate crime such as petrol drive offs.
To curb the increase in number plate theft, Community Patrols of New Zealand - CPNZ have produced special screws which require a special driver to remove, these are used to replace the existing standard screws; this lessens the chances of the plates being stolen.
A small donation of $5 is appreciated which will go to running the Upper Hutt Community Patrol Vehicle.

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
