Matt Tso Reporter from Upper Hutt Leader

Wediboard

Nadine from Wallaceville - Whitemans Valley

Does anyone have off cuts of wediboard (blue and grey very light waterproof board used to line bathrooms before tiling) they are throwing out? Very good backing for mosaics. Not sure what it’s called in NZ and only came across it when I lived in UK but hoping someone knows what it’s called here and better still, had some they are throwing away.

Would you cross this bridge?

Katie Townshend Reporter from Dominion Post

A wind gust in this gully on the Remutaka Rail Trail once blew a train off its tracks. Now, DOC is building a 90m swing bridge across the gully at Siberia Stream. Would you walk across it?
