Capital E’s Festival Has Launched!
New Zealand’s biggest arts festival for children has started! From now until 25 March you and your family will experience some of the coolest performance acts made to make you go “ooooo and ahhhh”.
For 2 weeks you’ll watch incredibly versatile artists that specialise in fun, colliding and energising art forms. Dance blends with live music and interactive storytelling; theatre becomes participatory; brass bands perform opera. Capital E has gathered artists from all over the world and New Zealand to bring truly surprising encounters for Wellington’s children and young people. Expect the unexpected! Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
