ORIGINS OF PLATE

Wilma from Foxton Beach

Hello everyone. I am wondering if there is anyone out there who either knows or could refer me to someone for information regarding a very old Japanese plate/bowl that I have.
This item has been hand made in a clay or some other such product. This is a decorative item I would say as the inside of it is hand painted and the paint on it is raised. The image is of two Samurai warriors dressed in their full ceremonial costumes and one of the warriors is kneeling in front of the other in a paying homage position. The other images shown are like scenery and other images I dont understand. The only thing I know about this item is that it was purchased in either Nagasaki or Hiroshima not long after these places were regrettably bombed for 2 packs of smokes. The plate has cracks on the bottom of it, but the main integrity of it is not compromised. I know very little about this item and would love someone who knows what they are talking about to get back to me or if not recommend someone who knows something about old Japanese pottery
