Public holiday opening ours
Some of our hours are a little different over the holiday period.
The Paraparaumu, Ōtaki and Waikanae Service Centres will close from 1pm, 24 December and reopen 9am, Wednesday 5 January 2022.

All our aquatics centres will have slightly different opening hours between 24 December 2021 and 4 January 2022. 🏊♂️
Our district libraries are closed from 3pm on Friday 24 December and will reopen on Wednesday 29 December.Over the new year period libraries will close at 5pm on 31 December and reopen on Wednesday 5 January. 📖

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
