Tomorrow elected members and Council staff will be at the Paraparaumu Beach Saturday Market to talk all things Long-term Plan.
They're after your views on the four key decisions, the big issues we’re facing as a district, our proposal to increase our work programme, and a proposed average rates increase of 7.8 percent for the 2021/22 year.

Hope to see you there! 🙂

Not only does it have a direct impact on rates (we're proposing an average 7.8 percent increase for 2021/22), it also has an impact on the services and facilities we offer, and how we prioritise our mahi.

Neighbours' Day (20-30 March 2021) is all about building new connections and holding fun, local get-togethers to meet people that live in your community.

The most popular way is an 'Over the Fence Cuppa' to get to know your neighbours a little better. Knowing the people near you strengthens our community ties, and creates safer and more resilient communities.

If you'd like to run a 'Over the Fence Cuppa' or local event and receive a goodie bag from Council to help, please email Neighbours.Day@kapiticoast.govt.nz by 17 March.

Hosts can go in to a draw to win a 105L water tank and a Grab & Go bag donated by Wellington Region Emergency Management Office (WREMO). With COVID-19 still a potential risk, in-person events will only go ahead under Alert Levels 1 and 2.
