Hi neighbours,

Get your bikes and walking shoes ready - you'll soon be able to use them to cross the Auckland Harbour bridge!

The Government has announced it will fund and build the proposed pedestrian and cycleway, however can not yet say when.

So, what are your thoughts on the link between the Shore and the city? Will it make your commute easier in the mornings? Or do you think the money should be better spent elsewhere in Auckland? Let us know in the replies!

I had purchased a stove and within 6 months we noticed that black marks starting to appear at the base of the hot plates. A friend of mine

came to the house and notice these marks and straight away said he also had the same Problem only worse. I contacted the Everdure agent in NZ and was advised that we did not follow the operating manuals correctly plus large pots should not be used for cooking (first time i have heard of this). Long story being cut short they agreed to replace this instant only but i had to pay for carting and electricians bill. They also said no one else had complained.
Everyone who has bought these and are having similar issues please contact Bunnings and thru them Everdure.. Please send me photos and the name of person who has complained. I feel that all costs incurred should be paid by Everdure. Also all those affected should get their stoves replaced. my email address gaza@mortgagesupply.co.nz

Hi neighbours – Loud Shirt Day is coming up in September and it's time to use your power of LOUD for GOOD.

Izabella was born profoundly deaf and in the four years following her diagnosis, her parents' emotions of shock, being scared and overwhelmed have turned to amazement, surprise and hope - all thanks to Izabella's progress as a hearing and speaking child.

Izabella loves to sing and dance, she enjoys gymnastics, bike rides and playing with her older brothers. What are her superpowers I hear you ask? She's fierce, adventurous and caring!

Register to fundraise and help deaf children like Izabella listen and speak. You can also donate here on Givealittle. Thanks for your support!

Selling our 10 month old fridge.

Works fine and have over a year warranty still on it with Appliance Shed, Noel Leeming and Samsung directly will be taking over the warranty.

I took the top shelf out so that there was more space to put bigger items on the second shelf but ended up breaking the door of the top shelf in the process, this can be easily glued back together and put back in if needed, I have taken a photo of this separately.

Free ECE Level 4 Qualifications

Hopefully, it's okay to post this again as a noticeboard message so that neighbours can understand what exactly this is about.

We're launching a new programme entitled NZ Certificate in ECE and Care (Level 4), approved by NZQA recently, and will be applying a zero fees policy for the initial run so that those who are having difficulty getting into a course through the Fees Free scheme offered by TEC, can have an alternative option to get good qualifications for free. I'm happy to clarify doubts in the comments below or talk over the phone (021-02380889).

*Glad to see the response so far and it looks like we will fill up one class of 15 (our maximum class size) quite quickly. I will continue to work with those who are interested and see if I can open up a second class if the numbers hit 24 (i.e. 12 students x 2 classes).
