Art Classes for Children and Adults

Term 4 enrolments are open for classes at Studio on the Square. We have drawing classes for children on Tues, Wed and Thurs $150/term
Sketching and Painting for teens on Thurs $150/term
Drawing for Adults on Thurs evenings $180/term
Life Drawing for Adults on Tues evenings $100/term
One Day Weekend Workshops are all 10am to 4pm $100 - Landscape Painting, Understanding Colour Theory, Paint a Floral Still Life
Drop in Social Life Drawing is on every Thursday from 10 am to 12 noon. Draw from a life model, meet other artists and share morning tea (provided). Cost is $8

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
