Green Corridors Free Community Event Sunday 14th July 2019
Come along to our Community Event with sausage sizzle at 11am on Sunday 14th July 2019.
Meeting point: Pacific Drive entrance to Adderstone Reserve just past the IPU on the left hand side. Pacific Drive is off Aokautere Drive.
We will be planting eco-sourced native trees and grasses. If you would like to participate please bring a spade, gumboots and gardening gloves.
We will also be demonstrating traps that can be used in back yards and gullies towards the PNCC goal of a predator-free Summerhill and Aokautere. A list will be taken of residents in these areas who are interested in taking part in this project. Traps will be ordered and delivered at a later date.
Members of Green Corridors will be on hand to answer questions about our work of restoring native vegetation and eliminating weeds in the Turitea, Summerhill and Aokautere areas of Palmerston North.

Slow Woven Textile Studio Open Day
Hi Neighbours! I am a weaver and fibre artist who works with natural fibres to create beautiful, one-off pieces inspired by the native plant life of Aotearoa.
Join me in my Ashhurst studio next Sunday, the 4th of January, for the Slow Woven Textile Studio monthly open day. You can learn about weaving, enjoy demonstrations and even weave your own cute and colourful mug rug to take home for free.
I share the studio with my dad, rural artist Graham Christensen, and his work will also be on display.
Sunday 4th of January, Open 10am-4pm
84 Glenburn Road, (off Napier Rd) Ashhurst.
Please note that number 84 is at the very end of Glenburn Road - so wind your way up the hill and it's at the very top.
The studio is open to the public on the first Sunday of each month.
