Posties are struggling to get international Easter parcels to people's doorsteps after only just getting a handle on the national backlog from lockdown.

NZ Post experienced Christmas-level demand over Alert Levels 3 and 4, overwhelming staff with the influx of packages requested.

The national postal service claims to have largely cleared a domestic backlog of 150,000 parcels.
