Earth day 22nd April 2017.

Iola Haggarty from Friends of Waitoetoe Park

Hi neighbours,
Once again, Friends of Waitoetoe Park with total support from Palmerston North City Council and Horizons will be hosting a planting and mulching of trees at Waitoetoe Park from midday to 2.30 p.m. The theme this year is education about climate change so we are hoping that the kindergartens and preschools will take part.
A free sausage sizzle, free fruit, hummus and vegetable crudites will be available to be enjoyed. Will go ahead regardless of weather !!

Christmas Giving/Volunteering ❤

Barbara from Takaro

Kia ora everyone,

With Christmas fast approaching I am wanting to ask the neighbours if anyone knows of an organisation who is helping feeding people who are financially struggling this Christmas?

I would like my family and I to volunteer on Christmas day and help bring food and/or cook warm meals. I know other cities have life mission and churches that will put on a lunch for those who don't have anywhere to go for Christmas and who are struggling. Can anyone identify if Palmerston North have one too? Or Feilding? We would love to help on Christmas day 💚

Ngaa manaakitanga,
Barbara

Christmas Trees

Kelly from Awapuni

Hi everyone,
Where can you get real Christmas trees?? There's the place on Napier road but it is expensive. I used to see trees at petrol stations but haven't seen any this year. Has anyone seen any?

Book Club reading Joseph Prince/AndrewWommack books

Pheng from Roslyn - Terrace End

We are hoping to start a book club in the new year 2020 studying books from these two authors. Look forward to hearing from you if these authors are known to you and you're are keen to get together to do a bookclub exploring their books.
