Turn your balcony or patio into a lush garden
If you have a green thumb, just imagine what you could do with a balcony with a fantastic view like this one at Murray Halberg Village. This elevated space offers the perfect blank canvas to create a lush outdoor space without lawn maintenance or heavy lifting.
Shane Fairbairn, Landscape Manager at Ryman Healthcare, shares some tips for creating the perfect outdoor space on your patio or balcony so you can enjoy the benefits of gardening without the hassles.

Te Omanga Hospice’s Annual Street Appeal
Te Omanga Hospice’s Annual Street Appeal is taking place during Hospice Awareness Week on Friday 17, Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 May (Upper Hutt Brewtown Market only on Sunday).
You will see our official volunteer collectors out on the street (come rain or shine) across the Hutt Valley, wearing pink aprons and holding white donation buckets.
Please give generously when you see an official collector.
We need your support to keep our services free for all those who need us. Together we can make a difference to the over 600 patients and their families we care for each year.
If you can’t donate at one of our collection sites during the appeal, you can also donate through our Givealittle page givealittle.co.nz... or online at www.teomanga.org.nz...
Thank you for your support!
