The regional council is looking to take over the Airport Flyer service after the previous privately-run service was paused during the Covid-19 lockdown and then canned completely last in November.
However, an initial report prepared by council officers did not consider the option of a Lower Hutt service, instead only recommending a line between Wellington Airport and the Wellington Railway Station.
The regional council unanimously passed a motion agreeing to explore the option of a direct service from Lower Hutt to the Airport as part of a consultation on the region’s public transport plan.
A reminder that there is still a residential sprinkler and irrigation system ban for Lower Hutt, Upper Hutt, Porirua and Wellington to ensure we continue to care for the environment.

Very lite weight, almost weightless fabric. Size 10-12. A purpley grey pattern on fabric. Great for work or over jeans. Cab wear buttoned or open. Only worn twice. In great condition.
Beautiful mia label. Size 12. The drape of the fabric is gorgeous. Lite enough to sway but not too thin and floaty. Flattering cut against legs making them look long. The colour is a burnt redy orange, a bit darker than my camera will show. Last photo more true to colour than the others.
Navy blue huffer dress. Cotton, size 10. Loose fit. Super comfy in summer. Has cool shark prints across fabric with huffer logo.

A four-bed bungalow, the house is 130sqm with two reception rooms, a bathroom and ensuite, its size and shape means the home will have to be split in half to move, so will cost considerably more to move than the first free house.

On Friday, Hutt City Council announced it, along with Hutt South MP Ginny Andersen and Lower Hutt-based National MP Chris Bishop, had started a campaign, called Fight for the Flyer, asking people to provide feedback on the Airport Flyer route to the Greater Wellington Regional Council (GWRC) as it consults on its upcoming Regional Public Transport Plan.
The push comes after Wellington Airport axed the route because it was no longer commercially viable.
It’s an opportunity for you to give feedback on the RiverLink indicative plans for improvements to river health, flood protection, amenities and transport connections in Lower Hutt.
Feedback will remain open until Monday 8 March 2021.
