NZ Post has said it is no longer viable to continue offering services in Naenae due to falling customer numbers. The closure of United Video outlet in Naenae last month due to seismic strengthening work meant the store's postal services it had inherited from Hillary Court in 2015 went too.

Naenae local Lew Coe does not use internet banking, so the loss of the bill paying service was "a hell of an inconvenience". He said Naenae was a working-class area and many of the mainly elderly community who used the service had no access to a car, little money to catch the bus or had mobility issues. Coe said the alternative bill payment locations in central Lower Hutt and Stokes Valley were too far away for many.

Poll: Should New Zealand take in 1500 refugees? Is it enough?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The annual refugee quota will lift from 1000 to 1500 by July 2020, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern announced this week. Before 2016 the refugee quota sat static at 750 for 30 years, well behind many other western nations. The National Government then raised it to 1000. Is it enough?

A lot of couples are uncomfortable talking about how to initiate and refuse sex.

It's also difficult to cope with being turned down.

The key to making “yes” and “no” feel less loaded is to have an agreed-upon ritual in your relationship for navigating sex.

Noted sex therapist Lonnie Barbach suggests that couples use a scale from 1 to 9 to indicate how amorous each of them is feeling, with 1 meaning “Not at all,” 5 meaning “I’m convince-able,” and 9 meaning “Let’s do it!”

So, if your partner initiates and you’re not in the mood, you can say, “I love you, and right now I’m a 1.” If you’re not sure, you could say, “Right now I’m a 5. Let’s kiss and see where it goes.”

The more you can hear, understand, and respect your partner’s “no” about any marital issue, the more “yes” there will be in your relationship.

We are a charity where we are dedicated to helping our children and families flourish, we do this by offering our building as a community enterprise hub and a place to learn, share and grow.
We have a lot going on in the building at the moment and want to share it with the community. We have our off grid community kitchen having the final touches done on it. Our urban kai farmers (volunteers) meet every Saturday @10.00am and help out at one of our local farms where we grow organic produce for the community. A plastic free membership based co-op grocer with the cheapest prices possible. Recycled rides where you can offer a hour of your time each month for a bike hire. A sewing studio where we offer sewing lessons to the community. Koha Coffee that is only $2.50 koha and that $2.50 provides a meal for a child.
There is also so much more.
Come check us out. If you mention this neighbourly add you can receive your first Koha Coffee on us.
Look forward to seeing you all.
