Change of President.

Alan Murgatroyd from Northland Coastguard Air Patrol

The Northland Coastguard Air Patrol (NorthCAP), based at the Kerikeri Airport, held their AGM last Sunday, and members elected Willie Morton as their new President, in lieu of Murray Miskelly who stood down after 4 years of service in the post. However, Murray is definitely not leaving the unit as he accepted the role of V. Pres. and is still an active Search and Rescue volunteer pilot, also actively engaged in personally presenting a Business Plan he has created, to Coastguard, to persuade them to replace the Units aging Cessna aircraft, now reaching the end of its useful life. Look out for a Fund Raising Appeal later this year, and please give generously, The Life You Save May Be Your Own !!

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
