unreliable tradespeople
Kia Ora, Why is it that certain tradespeople, who advertise in the Bay Chronicle weekly do NOT even bother to get back to you? We wanted our water tanks cleaned so we made a few calls. One to one people was answered by their daughter who assured me that , "dad will get back to you when he gets in." I never happened. So we left it over a week and tried again. This time it went to voice mail. We left our phone number, of course, BUT again nobody bothered to contact us. Why bother to advertise. A quick reply to say, 'sorry, we are real busy right now but we haven't forgotten you. We can come next week ....how's that?" would be the proper way to carry on, but no.. So, we tried another company. Two phone cals and e-mails to their website finally got a response . Someone did come out and said he'd send us an e-mail with their quote. After over 9 days, we are still waiting. How do the guys stay in business is y question and why bother advertising? On a brighter note, we do recommend Chris Poad, Master Builder. He does turn up; he is a good workman; he is polite; and he charges a reasonable rate. SO, IF anyone knows how we can get our water tanks cleaned by a person who will answer their phone; turn up and do a good job for a reasonable price, please let us know. And if anyone knows of a skilled arborist, who also charge s reasonable rates, we would like to know. Thanks.
Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
