Muscovey Ducks
Our muscovey ducks have had a busy summer making babies and sitting on eggs. Or is it the other way around? They are the most delightful ducks. Known as the quackless duck, they are very quiet. The drakes will hiss at you but this is a greeting, not a warning. They communicate by head-bobbing which is cute to watch. If you get some young and spend time with them they can become very friendly. Their eggs are fabulous for baking or eating - large and flavourful. We have juveniles available soon. Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝
In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”
We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?
Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
