He would not accept I was not with Spark, did not believe that I do not have a credit card and shouted at me that I would be sorry if I didn't co-operate, that my computer would be ruined.  I said "how dare you threaten me, I want to talk to your supervisor."  He then hung up. These crooks must be sucking in some naïve people so please don't be taken in by them.

Solving the hard butter problem

Sonia from Parkvale

I used to keep my butter (in winter) in a container on top of my hot water cylinder, and it was the perfect temperature but we recently changed to gas hot water, so no cylinder now. So I was back to microwaving and crossing fingers it didn't over melt, which is touch and go at best. So I was back to microwaving and crossing fingers it didn't over melt, which is touch and go at best. BUT HOORAY, I bought a butter croc (butterbell) from total food equipment $50, and it's AMAZING. You fill the top with butter, the bottom with water, and it keeps it spreadable. It's not warm water or anything like that, so it's not relying on that, I suppose the water stops it from getting colder (than the water). You change the water once a week. There are three of us, the butter lasts about 3/4 days before we run out. Half a cup I think. Just for toast or sandwiches. I think it's amazing, much better than paying a fortune for semi soft butter or mixing it with oil. Would make a great present for someone. AND just incase we all didn't already know what a rip off "Fishpond" are, they are selling my exact same one for $73!

Good manners online

Julie Neighbourly Lead from Havelock North

It'a been brought to my attention that some people are feeling replies to comments are becoming increasingly negative and even sinking into personal attacks.

While discussions and disagreement are acceptable, healthy and even welcome, snide comments, nastiness and personal attacks are not.

While discussions and disagreement are acceptable, healthy and even welcome, snide comments, nastiness and personal attacks are not.

I'd urge you to read what you type, then think and ask yourself if it would bother you to receive the comment BEFORE you post it. If you wouldn't like it chances are nor would others.

And while popular posts can go off topic (I personally enjoy a good segue) attacking others for it is not a good idea. Argue the topic not the person.

Be polite, friendly, cheeky, even sneaky, but most of all be neighbourly!

Otherwise you may find your profile being blocked, suspended or even deleted as per the terms and conditions we all agreed to.
