Oak Trees Desperate for Water

Brenda from Twyford

Hi Everyone.
If you travel along Omahu Road during the week, you may notice that several of the young Oak Trees planted by the Council are in desperate need of a drink. Especially the ones at the Fernhill end - between the State Highway 50 turnoff and RioFab (Sheet metal business).
For years now my husband and I have been taking big containers of water with us every time we go out in summer, and watering them. But we don't go out often enough now to make a huge difference.
It would be wonderful if a few more people did this, and helped keep them alive and growing. Our/your rates paid for them to go in and it would be a shame if we lost them.
It's not a huge task but would make a big difference if some of you could do this too.
A word of warning though, make sure you pull well off the road before getting out of your vehicle along Omahu Road. We don't want any accidents!
Hopefully thanking your in advance :)

Brenda
