I have just sent out a newsletter to some of customers and I included some maintenance tips which might help you as well.
Dryers - clean out the internal lint filter after every load. Check all air vents on the dryer once per year. This can help the unit work properly and last longer as well as reduce any fire risk.
Washing Machines - clean out any filters, check your manual. Also it can pay to do a "hot" wash every now and then to help clean out any buildup soap scum. Also check your hoses aren't leaking.
Vacuum Cleaners - clean out filters regularly, especially if you are using a bag-less vacuum cleaner.
Warm Regards

I have a wooden fixed slat base for a double bed. It has no frame or legs but is ready to use. Prop it on some beer crates and you have a bed...Just add mattress.
If you already have a frame but your slats are stuffed, broken or missing, I have what you need.

If you already have a frame but your slats are stuffed, broken or missing, I have what you need.
It is in excellent condition.
You could use it to make a wall hanging/divider or a flat hammock or even extra raised storage space in your garage.
Maybe you are building a tiny house and need it for the bed, a wall or a ceiling.
What about a wall feature or display stand?
You could just take it apart and make what you want out of the timber.
Price: $75

SILENT LEADERSHIP CHALLENGE
The Silent Leadership Challenge which was initiated by the National Foundation for the Deaf in 2103 has become an annual event. This year the National Foundation for the Deaf is supporting us at Hastings Hearing to take part in this challenge for the first time.
The Silent Leadership Challenge will see participants tackle three communication challenges at
work and one at home while wearing bright yellow hearing protectors to simulate deafness.
The ten minute challenges, to be undertaken on or around Friday 4 August, are a one-to-one
meeting, a team meeting, a social get-together and watching TV with the family (without captions).
This will only take 40 minutes of your day, but the impact and social change it creates could be
life-long. You’ll experience for yourself the challenges faced every day by those who have a
hearing loss.
Hastings Hearing a not for profit community organisation dedicated to educating as many people as possible about the causes and prevention of noise induced hearing loss. This type of hearing loss is 100% preventable. Hearing loss is an invisible disability affecting one in six New Zealanders. To achieve this awareness we offer a specifically designed free Education Program that is available to everyone in our community. It is important to us to raise awareness in our community about hearing loss and we feel that the most effective way to do this is through our Education Program.
Our ultimate goal is to make a difference within our community by continuing to create an awareness of hearing loss. All funds raised from the Silent Leadership Challenge will go towards ensuring that as many people as possible in our community are able to participate in our education program and receive this very important information.
This event raises awareness of hearing loss, is a fundraiser and can also be a fun event for you to take part in. You can participate in this Challenge as an individual or a group. Why not make it a team building event for your workplace?
