There have been recent reports of number plate identification theft which has led to innocent vehicle owners accumulating parking fines, speeding tickets and reports of petrol drive-offs which have been made by offenders in stolen vehicles using the stolen number plates.

People are encouraged to report any suspicious activity around this through our 105 service.
