Swarbrick Landing closed on 14 August for pruning

The Team from Hamilton City Council

Swarbrick Landing on River Rd will be closed on Friday 14 August so our contractors can safely complete pruning and enhancement work in the area.

Contractors will be on-site from 8.30am until 4.30pm. Pedestrians will still be able to use the footpath at street level but access through the landing will be blocked. They should detour up to River Rd.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
