Football Basics for Kids

Ganga from Hamilton East

I am currently coaching a local school team and have noticed that a lot of young footballers here lack basic ball skills even though they are representing their school and playing football (i.e. soccer) somewhat competitively. Working with my own players on their basic skills, they improved their game dramatically within a couple of training sessions. I realise that local school coaches aren't emphasising on this area much, so, if there is enough interest, I could conduct training sessions for players between 10-15 to work on their basic skills such as stopping, trapping, kicking, passing, heading and taking throw-ins. From what I've seen, it is also possible to work on simple 'tricks' such as stepovers and body feints to give some dimension to their repertoire of moves. I'd need to have a participant size of 5-7 players to conduct a one-hour training session, with the cost being $10 per participant, per session. Drop me a message or text/call 0277780883 if you think this might be something useful for your child.
