Discover Art Therapy

Arts for Health from Arts for Health Community Trust

Thinking about studying art therapy, or simply curious to experience it for yourself? Join us for a relaxed 4-week introduction at Arts for Health.

You’ll work alongside our Arts Therapist, Eve, as you explore how art-making can support wellbeing, self-understanding, and connection with others. Each week offers a new creative focus and the chance to experiment with different materials in a friendly, supportive setting.

These workshops are ideal for adults who want to:
- Learn what art therapy is and how it works
- Meet like-minded people
- Enjoy creative time for personal growth and fun
- All materials are supplied. No art experience needed – just curiosity.

This is a gentle taster series, with the option to join a longer workshop in the new year.

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”

We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?

Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
