Kendo Promotional Documentary
It's our great pleasure to share you with Wilkie Larke's media assignment at our dojo's channel.
Wilkie is a Year 10 student at Hamilton Boys High School and our dojo member. We feel proud of him that he can combine his school study and personal interests in such a neat way!
We also thank all the Waikato members showing their actions in this video.
Lest we forget...
On this ANZAC Day, let's take a moment to remember and honor the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve our country.
Tell us who are you honouring today. Whether it's a story from the battlefield or a memory of a family member who fought in the war, we'd love you to share your stories below.
What's your favourite piece of Waikato history?
Car parks inspired a milking shed design that took off around the world and became a piece of Waikato District history.
A hundred-year-old church and gravestones from the 1880s will also feature as the district turns the spotlight on its past for its first Heritage Day on April 20.
Have you heard about this Hamilton petition?
A group of Hamilton business owners have started a petition to stop the council from hiking up rates and passing the cost of what they say are unpopular projects on to residents.
It frustrates longtime residents Tom Andrews, a former roading engineer who owns Classics Museum and has property interests and Jo Reeder, to see Hamiltonians facing large bills.
