Hamilton mum takes used car battle to disputes tribunal
A Hamilton mum who says she was sold a faulty car is taking the dealer to a disputes tribunal - but is still paying the finance on a vehicle she doesn’t have in the meantime.
Shynesia Chapman, 27, said she lodged her Motor Vehicle Disputes Tribunal application on September 4, paying $87, and was told the trader had until September 19 to contact her to try to resolve the dispute.

Grant Kilby has always loved camping. His mum was director of health at the YMCA, and he would attend YMCA camps in the school holidays. “I think it was mandatory that I was there,” he jokes.
