Driver’s terrifying 100m drop revealed
A car that ended up 100m down a steep gully left a winding west Waikato road and sailed right over a roadside fence without touching it.
The Ford sedan now sits, upright and intact but deep in a rugged hill-country paddock with its driver in serious condition in hospital after a dramatic rescue in failing light on Monday.

From rugged campsite to 7.5ha resort
Grant Kilby has always loved camping. His mum was director of health at the YMCA, and he would attend YMCA camps in the school holidays. “I think it was mandatory that I was there,” he jokes.
He went on camping holidays with his parents, and later, took his own kids.
