Water-saving tips to help you reduce your water use

Gardening
- Water early morning or late evening to prevent 70% of water evaporating.
- Give your plants a good long soak twice a week rather than a short daily water. You will encourage deeper, healthier roots.
- Use a digital water timer with a rain sensor– it switches on only when needed.

Pool
- Use a cover to prevent evaporation and keep the water warm
- Keep your pool clean, wipe your feet before you jump in.

Play your part. We value wai in the Waikato.

My letterbox is at the entrance to my property and my neighbours property has a letterbox about fifteen metres away. So my driveway is very clear that it serves one house only. I have complained to NZPost in the past about this and always been assured that it will never happen again, BUT IT DOES EVERYTIME. They promised to talk to their driver and then get back to me BUT HAVEN'T. They are gutless . WHY was parcel post tracked parcel not delivered at 10-44am this morning but instead to the neighbouring property. Parcel tracking number 159-157-765 and my cell phone number is 0274 898 075 if you want to take some responsibility for your abysmal management NZ Post then an apology may be a good start.

I was given an e-gift card supplied by the Base (Kiwi Property) in Hamilton. Unfortunately this was accidentally lost, probably while visiting Auckland.
I reported this to the Base management with all the details of the lost card. By the time I reported it no-one else had used it and a stop was placed on the card so it couldn't be used.
Now Kiwi Property has $136.00 of mine, they know it is my money, but have advised that they are not obliged to and will not replace it, as per their terms and conditions for the card.
So basically if you have someone else property and won't give it back it is most often illegal. Kiwi Property are also short changing the business's at their malls by this policy.
How much money do business's selling gift cards which are lost, expired or unused get to keep from these windfalls?
The moral of this story is beware of purchasing gift cards as you may end up losing out and profiting the supplier.

Time spent in respite care can range from a single night to a few weeks. It provides a welcome break and peace of mind knowing that your loved one will receive round-the-clock care from friendly, experienced care teams.

May Kitchen knows how important it is to provide carers with a break. After visiting her husband Stuart in respite care at a Ryman village, she was tempted to move in herself! “If it was me, I think I would enjoy it because it’s just so beautiful and the food is good.”

Ryman villages provide warm and welcoming communities. Where residents can enjoy activities and outings while forming friendships along the way.
