Community Firewood Chop 27th May
Hi Hamilton Community!
We are excited to announce our first community wide event for the year is coming up on the 27th May in the form of a Community Firewood Chop. If you or anyone you know is struggling to afford or find firewood for this coming winter, we hope to be able to provide them with a load of firewood on the day, completely free, to get them started with winter in a warm, dry and healthy home. We are also looking for volunteers who are able to help split, stack and deliver wood, and are still in need of multiple trailers as well as a few more drivers and cars with towbars to use on the day.
Check out the facebook event www.facebook.com... for more information and updates, and register to help out on the day and/or receive firewood at www.streetworks.org.nz...

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
