Police take firearm reporting 'extremely seriously' amid frequent incidents

Matthew Dallas Reporter from Feilding-Rangitīkei Herald

Afternoon neighbours,

Police say there is no cause for concern due to the frequent number of firearm incidents in Manawatū, with 21 callouts within a month.

Area commander Ross Grantham said while numbers might seem high it’s not always as bad as it seemed and the offending was not always at the “higher end of the offending spectrum”.

Do you feel comfortable police have it under control?

Some New Zealanders are re-imagining funerals by making their own coffin or having a relaxed ceremony at home. Would you want a less traditional funeral? Share your thoughts below.

Type 'Not For Print' if you wish your comments to be excluded from the Conversations column of your local paper.
