Councillors receive pay rises for the coming year
Hi neighbours, councillors in Horowhenua have gotten a pay bump - with the Horowhenua District Council deciding to give councillors a pay rise of nearly $9000 each, at a recent meeting. Mayor Bernie Wanden will be paid $129,000 and deputy mayor Jo Mason will be paid $68,000. This is due to a rule change from the authority that sets remuneration.
