Ofcourse he's very upset, one of them was his pet lamb so that makes it very sad not to know what may have happened and whether he's ended up as someone's Christmas dinner... There were 7 ewes, one ram and 12 lambs,. Some of the sheep had ear tags, so if you are coming across a sheep that has a hole where the ear-tag was, than please let me know so I can pass the information on to him and let the police know.
Another friend of mine told me about 4 calves being taken on Hokio Sands Road recently too - so whether a gang is on the prowl or whether these are people doing it because they don't want to spend money on food - all in all it's very upsetting to think about the trust that's being broken.
Again to all who are honest this message: be vigilant, get your neighbours to keep an eye on things, get security installed, or a house-sitter. Hopefully when we all team up together we can all help prevent things like this to happen less.
