New Zealand Red Cross annual Book Sale
The NZ Red Cross annual Book Sale is going ahead this year from 4-6 September at the Barber Hall, Waldegrave Street.
•Friday 4 September, 10am to 8pm
•Saturday 5 September, 10am to 6pm
•Sun 6 September, 10am to 2pm
The Red Cross Service Centre welcomes all books, CD's, magazines, DVD's, games and jigsaw puzzles. Our donation shed at 245 Main Street, Palmerston North opposite the Skate Park is now open between 8.30am-4.30pm Monday to Friday and 10am-1pm Saturdays.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
