Seniors Day Out - SDO
π¨ SENIORS DAY OUT β A STEP BACK IN TIME π‘
In May, we visited the McCahon House Museum in Titirangi β and what a fascinating experience it was! Itβs truly incredible to see how the McCahon family lived and created in such a humble, compact space, nestled in native bush and full of creative energy. πΏβ¨
We explored a powerful collection of photographs, voice recordings, video footage, and personal writings that brought this iconic Kiwi artistβs story to life.
And in the photo β yes, those are the boysβ bunk beds, which astonishingly had only three walls, opening out onto the bush. Thatβs right β the fourth wall was nature itself. π²
We began the day with a lovely lunch at Deco Eatery, where good food and great company made it a day to remember. π½οΈπ¬
Every outing brings fresh perspectives, meaningful connection, and shared memories.

Auckland, why are we so excited about a new store? ππ
I think weβve all seen the traffic notices and headlines about the new IKEA by now!
So hereβs the question: why do we get so excited when a new store opens? Convenience? Curiosity? A reason for a weekend outing? Weβd love to hear your thoughts!
