Heartbeats Promotes Heart Disease Awareness on the Hibiscus Coast, During July

Trent from Matakatia - Tindalls Beach

1 in 3 Kiwis die of heart disease and related stroke, every year in New Zealand yet support and post-hospital rehabilitation and care for this under-recognised silent killer that affects more and more women (not just the stereotype older male) is underfunded.

During July Heartbeats is providing the following HeartTALKS on the Hibiscus Coast to promote a better understanding of heart disease, how to deal with it and where you can find support and care resources.

Connect for Women - Orewa, 8th July. Specifically addresses heart disease with women: its prevalence, risks and impact. (this is a private event organised by Connect for Women).

Whangaparaoa Library, Whangaparaoa - 31st July. 11:00am

Also Trent Lash, founder and Chair of Heartbeats, will be interviewed by Nick Radonovich on MoreFM (Rodney) on the 27th July, about the nature and topic of his talk at Whangaparaoa Library - see the attached poster below.
Everyone is WELCOME to attend, its informal and Trent's presentation will be in easy to understand, non-technical language, and you can ask any questions you wish.
Expect to be surprised at how little you know about heart disease and who it affects!
