Art Festival
Inspire yourself this Waitangi Weekend. Sunday 1-4, Monday 10-4
Enjoy the creativity in over 150 exhibits in the Christian Art Festival at the Lighthouse, next to Magnify Church, 118 Commercial Road, Helensville.
Or view constant updates on the SpiritArtsNZ Facebook page. Exhibitors range from established artists such as Graham Braddock to first time exhibitors, such as Jodie Allen. Pictured is Keryn Bloxham with her ‘White Horse’ painting. Exhibits include work in steel, photography, painting, mixed media & large fabric wall hangings. You can also buy a huge range of cards and smaller items. It is an excellent way to spend some time over the weekend. If fine weather, Monday 11-3 should also include a kids creative space, which has also proved very popular with the adults! Or, if you just want to chill out, join Barbara Harry in the ‘Reflective Space’.

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝
In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”
We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?
Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
