WE'RE LOOKING FOR A SENIOR CARPENTER TO JOIN THE CAIN BUILT TEAM.

Tim from Cain Built ltd

Here at Cain Built we're always looking at how we go about selecting our team and so we thought it's best to ask some questions that can help you figure out what’s important to you.

Here goes,

• Are you a qualified builder looking for your next move in the construction industry?

• Do you feel like you’re stuck going nowhere in your current role?

• Do you take pride in your work and in the success of your team around you?

• Do you enjoy a good renovation project?

If you’re saying yes – then we want to talk to you!

We’re a young but established Auckland based company with a strong marketing presence and good relationships within the industry. As we’re still growing ourselves, we’re looking for our right-hand man to be someone who can help contribute to the success of our company and grow their skill set alongside us.

As a highly skilled builder you’ll have 5+ years’ experience working across a range of projects and are especially aware of the intricacies involved in renovation work. You’re either ready for the next step up, or running jobs without the stress of running your own business greatly appeals to you.

Your proven experience running jobs, juggling sub-trades and managing client expectations has given you the ability to stay calm under pressure - so problem solving and thinking on the spot comes naturally to you. This level headed trait coupled with your passion and enthusiasm for building helps keep the team moral lifted.

As one of the faces of the company, you of course look the part and present well, communicate and conduct yourself in a professional manner, are personable and love building those core relationships. You work hard but have a good sense of humour at the same time.

Being the confident builder and personality you are, you lead by example and enjoy sharing your knowledge, happily overseeing junior staff, assisting with their training where required and at times being their go-to man. While you’re often left to give instructions, you aren’t offended when given them also.

You’ve hammered more than just a few nails in your time, so you’re set up with an extensive range of tools, ready to get stuck into projects big and small, from decks and extensions to full-blown renovations, light commercial and new builds. Being based on the North Shore for the majority of time, you’re happy to leave this bubble to travel across wider Auckland also.

Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience in residential renovations and new builds

• Able to quantify and order materials

• Ideally LBP but not vital

• Has valid NZ drivers license

• Has own extensive range of quality tools

• Has own vehicle

• Speaks excellent English

• First Aid training required

Rates based on experience and expertise.
