Have you had expected mail or parcels not arrive?
Mail thieves are operating in the RD3 postal area.
Today (Wed Aug 07) mail has been taken from Wake Road, Ridge Road, Mill Flat Lane, Rangitopuni and some roads in Paremoremo. It is likely to be wider spread than just these roads but yet to be reported.
This has been discovered after discussions with one of the local postal delivery drivers, Angela (Ang).
Some of the mail taken was then redistributed, likely because it was of no value to the thieves and gave them an excuse to provide if challenged as to why they were looking in letterboxes.
If you have community or personal cctv that covers letterboxes and have a visual of any suspicious persons or vehicles operating in the last 2 days, please report to Police by calling 105 and updating the Police Event no. P038642443.
Mail theft may be a precursor to opportunistic burglary activity so please report suspicious activity including loitering vehicles and persons, with the vehicle description and registration plate.
Kind regards.

And while it's no shock that firing up a 2Kw electric heater doesn't come cheap, the price of a warm bed for a toasty night's sleep might surprise you. Check out the full rundown, including electric blankets, hot showers, heated towel rails and more, here.

Such was the case in the early 1800s when New Zealand faced a paper famine. Letter writing was essential to keep in touch but with such limited paper available the technique of 'crossed letters' was adopted.
The writer would turn the page ninety degrees after finishing a page and add a second layer of text.
