Planting Morning Along the Heathcote
Next Saturday morning (8th) join the Laura Kent Reserve Workgroup to plant 1000 native plants in the reserve beside the Heathcote River (between Radley St bridge and Radley Park on the Port Hills side of the river). Kick off at 9.00am finish by 11.00am. Some spades supplied. Enter the reserve from Radley St and walk through the new planting already done (250m), or from Laura Kent Place. We are glad we aren't planting this weekend!!

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
