Favourite summer holiday spots

We'd be keen to hear about your favourite summer holiday spots in NZ. Is there somewhere you keep returning to year after year and, if so, what are the main attractions? What makes it such a stand-out spot? Any tips you may be able to offer on the best things to see and do there - as well as the best places to grab a drink or bite to eat - would be much appreciated. Cars obstructing bin collection
PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN FRONT OF CURBSIDE COUNCIL BINS ON COLLECTION DAY! Yet again someone has parked their car right in front of my green bin and stopped it being collected. I’m not even on a busy street, the least I ask is that my one bin is able to be collected each week. Thankfully the lovely truck driver stopped for me when he saw me sprinting down the road this evening. I’m making a sign for my bin asking people to not park in front of it, but please be aware that the collection trucks will not empty bins that have cars parked in front of them!
