A few "Firsts" : Old phone Vs New phone with Apps

Erina from Sydenham

Hey Neighbours. Just got a "New" (Ok, "old" to all you Switched-On users), phone - with Apps! My First one with Apps - 🤣. Still got fat fingers tho but working on it........ and still working on it.
One App was Uber Taxis. What a delight that it was at least 3x more reliable on when they would arrive compared to the usual taxi companies in Christchurch - and you can track them on progress as well. No worries 'bout money/cash changing hands - it goes to your credit card when you book. I was impressed. Twas a very positive experience for a Greenhorn.

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
