While rates, chlorination, cycleways, and climate change have been hot topics in this year's Christchurch elections, other important issues have been simmering in neighbourhoods across the city.
Our reporters talked to some residents about what is concerning them in the lead-up to the ballot boxes closing at noon on Saturday. We are a small group of people around NZ that have been diagnosed with various eye conditions that have caused / are causing varying degrees of vision loss.
As a FB group - www.facebook.com... we are looking to set up regular catchups around the country with others over a coffee etc for the purpose of sharing experiences hints and tips and providing support.
In time, we also will be working towards offering advocacy, training and coaching to assist people to come to terms with their vision loss and develop a new way of living. If you have, or know if anyone who has vision loss, please join us.
