We already have our first one in Royal Oak, Auckland and 20 more to come over the next few months. We will have speakers Gafa Tuiloma - General Manager for Etu Pasifika as well as shared testimonies from service users, Mr Tuvalu Fuimaono from Pharmac and Information Stalls with people from Arthritis New Zealand, Ministry of Health Needs Assessment Services, Older People Services, Pacific Health services, Blind Foundation, Social Housing, Diabetes NZ and FREE HEALTH CHECKS.
On the day, there will be some demonstrations of disability sports activities, as well as some mini Zumba and fun games. There will be finger food served during the event, and delicious Island food after.
Come along for fun day and bring your family. Same venue as last year at the Aranui Community Centre, 31 Hampshire Street, Aranui!

It is like Trade me (whereby individual people list products they would like to sell and the charity they would like to support), people go in and bid the money raised goes to charity that is listed at that time on the website. Money minus a $1 fee (to cover running costs) all goes to the charity.
So you can participate by doing the following:-
1. Have a clear out and donate goods.
2. Select a deserving charity to receive the funds raised.
3. Login and become a buyer and get a fantastic bargin whilst helping a
deserving charity.
4. Discuss with your family and friends to that they to can enjoy the
gift of giving, whilst decluttering OR enjoy the gift of giving by
purchasing an item whilst getting a bargin and stopping good items
from going into the tip.

As you all know I am the artist on the corner of Mackenzie and Hopkins in gallery@109. Last year, and part of this I had a big show of 50 works titled 'Somme/Silk Road' on exhibition at the QEII National Army Museum in Waiouru. I then created a further suite of works using the same inspiration (the silk cards made during WW1 in France and Belgium) which I titled 'We'll be home by Christmas'. I turned two of those cards into printed Christmas cards (see images below) which I sold last Christmas and am again selling packs of 12 (6 of each, although I can make up packs of only one image should you like) of these from the studio and also from Aum Dairy on Hopkins Street.
So for $15 (GST incl) a pack you get 12 unique Christmas cards and envelopes. All in time for your Christmas mail out.
