Waipā councillor puts sand quarry on notice
Concerns about trucks from a proposed sand quarry swamping Cambridge have prompted a bid to limit where they can travel.
There’s been a ‘high level of anxiety and concern among the community’ around the RS Sand proposal to extract up to 400,000 tonnes of sand from a Newcombe Road site, a Waipā District Council report says.
