Stay Alert! Frost and ice on the roads
Southern Police are asking drivers to stay alert and drive to the conditions over the next few days.
The whole southern region will be affected by frost and ice, and this directly impacts our road conditions.
Roads will be more dangerous and black ice can be expected, especially in shaded areas and on bridge surfaces.
Icy roads are unforgiving, especially here in the South where we deal with some of the most intense winter conditions in the country.
Make sure you check weather conditions, and the NZTA Journey Planner, before you set out, and plan extra time for your travel.
