Wanted : caring, fun-loving host families for our female Japanese high school students
Southern Cross Language Institute, located in Merivale, has been in hibernation for three years but is now excited about welcoming Japanese students back from mid-April (after Easter) this year. They will stay until mid-March 2024. If you have a spare room, would like to share our kiwi culture, and learn more about Japan, then hosting could be a great opportunity for you. Pedestrian access from one of Christchurch’s favourite streets is being extended all the way to the Ōtakaro Avon River. This new 12m-wide pathway will give you a direct, easy route from the street to the river promenade ... perfect for a stroll, a coffee run, or just soaking up the riverside vibes.
