Is your hot water cylinder set to the correct temperature?
Do you know if your hot water cylinder is set to the correct temperature? Ideally your hot water cylinder should be set to 65 degrees Celsius.
If the temperature is hotter than this you are wasting power heating the water up too much, and you could scald yourself. If the temperature is too cool you risk developing bacteria such as legionella in your water cylinder.
